Governor Ikpeazu remains calm after testing positive to COVID-19

The governor of God’s own state (Abia state), Okezie Ikpeazu has remained calm even after testing positive to COVID-19, says “it’s not a death sentence”. He tested positive to the corona virus disease on 4th June 2020, and has been obligated to go into isolation after giving directives that his deputy acts on his behalf for the time being.

This piece of information was disclosed on 8th june 2020, by John Kalu, the commissioner for information of the state, the article read “On Saturday,  30th May, 2020, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu volunteered his sample for COVID-19 test and subsequently directed members of the state executive council (EXCO) and those of the inter-ministerial committee on COVID-19 to submit themselves for same test.”

“On Tuesday, 2nd June, 2020, the result of Governor Ikpeazu’s test returned negative. On Thursday, 4th June,2020, the Governor submitted another sample at NCDC laboratory for confirmation and the result returned positive”

The Governor of the state called upon his people to take the fight against the virus very seriously.
