Facebook stands as one of today’s leading social platforms, boasting millions of users. Often, we seek ways to make our profiles distinct. Using a single display name (only a first name) is a method that achieves this individuality. You might have noticed people with single names and wondered about the process behind it. The secret was revealed in a previous article – click here. However, Facebook restricts the use of single display names to Indonesians only. To access this feature, a workaround involves fooling Facebook into recognizing your location as Indonesia. This can be accomplished by using a VPN to change your browsing location or following a simple trick explained here, where you utilize an Indonesian IP address and port to achieve this.
Once you’ve successfully altered your browsing location, follow these steps to complete the process:
- Visit mbasic.facebook.com and log in to your account.
- Change the Facebook language to Bahasa (Indonesia).
- Navigate to Pengaturan & privasi < Informasi Pribadi < Nama or use Google Translate for an English display.
- Enter only your first name in the provided field.
- Click submit and input your password when prompted.
By following these steps, your profile will display with a single name, setting it apart in a unique way.
