
The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been re-elected as the Chairman of, Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS Authority of Heads of States and Government for another one year tenure.
President Bola Tinubu first tenure is to end on the 9th of July, 2024, is being re-elected by a mutual decision of Heads of Government while at the 65th Ordinary Session of the Authority which was held at the State House in Abuja, on Sunday, July 7th.
The President, in his acceptance speech said, “I have accepted to continue to deliver on this service with the great men and women on this democratic journey, to serve our interest and build democratic values on the structure we inherited.”
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected as Chairman of the Authority during the 63rd Ordinary Session that was held in July 2023, in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau.
